About Earned Indifference to the Chaos of Fate
The first four Holostatic albums were outlets: records built to carry pressure, fracture and release. Earned Indifference to the Chaos of Fate begins from a different place. It returns to the project’s roots in cinematic electronic music, ambient weight and patient sound design, but with more experience behind every decision. Where the earlier work searched for somewhere to put the noise, this record is about the relief that remains after it has passed.
That relief is not apathy. The title describes a hard-won steadiness: accepting that fate remains chaotic without allowing it to dictate the inner world. The music is more mature, more soundtrack-focused and more willing to let a scene unfold at its own pace. Scale arrives through restraint—motifs develop slowly, tension breathes, and familiar textures are handled with a steadier hand.
This is Holostatic’s fifth album and the sum of the depth built so far: the same roots, more control, and a clearer sense of what the music is for.
